ROOF WASHING

What are those ugly green and black stains on roofs, and why should they be cleaned off?

  • Black and green stains on your roof are caused by an algae that feeds and grows on older shingles with less sun exposure.

  • Over time, asphalt shingles lose their resistance to algae, allowing these stains to grow and spread.
